On June 13, 2025, the School of Mathematics and Statistics hosted the closing ceremony of the 3rd Mathematical Culture Festival, titled "Shining Together in Numbers, Shaping the Future", along with the 2025 Graduation Gala at Tianyou Hall. Attendees included Wang Meng, Deputy Director of Graduate Affairs of Beijing Jiaotong University, An Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Beijing Jiaotong University, Wang Hao, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Liu Yuting, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, along with faculty advisors, counselors, and teacher representatives from undergraduate and graduate graduating classes. Over 300 students, including the Class of 2025 and other students, gathered at Tianyou Hall to reminisce about their campus years and embrace the brilliant chapters ahead

At the closing ceremony, faculty and students revisited the festival’s highlights through a retrospective video, reflecting on their intellectual and personal growth under the influence of mathematical culture. The festival, launched in March, spanned three months and featured 13 themed activities across three key tracks. These initiatives captured the campus-wide attention of the students and faculty, fostering deep engagement while showcasing the unique allure of mathematics in multifaceted ways.

The 2nd "Mathematics Journey: Rigor and Innovation" Great Mathematicians Contest was one of the flagship events of this festival. The outstanding exhibition piece Eternal Glimmers illuminated the immortal spirit of mathematicians shining through the river of time. It also inspired young students to draw strength from this legacy and reflection, moving forward with both passion and reverence for mathematics. Lian Qiaofang, Head of the Department of Information and Computing Science, awarded prizes to the winning teams.

During the festival, the school established a platform for "Mathematics and Culture" and held the second competition for micro-lectures on "Telling the Party's History Through Numbers, Reading China Through Data". The standout piece, "Youth in the Legacy of Ideals—The Communist Party of China’s Answer to Its Founding Mission", captured the profound impact of the revolutionary spirit on today’s youth, blending heartfelt storytelling with deep insight. Award ceremonies were held, with Wang Meng, An Wei, Wang Hao, and Liu Yuting presenting honors to the top performers.

Amid thunderous applause and cheers, Flight & Fantasy: A Dance Medley set the stage ablaze with its dynamic choreography, officially kicking off the 2025 Graduation Gala. The gala unfolded in three thematic acts, blending theater, music, dance, and poetry to showcase the academic rigor and boundless vitality of mathematics and statistics students.

The first chapter, "Chasing Light, Chasing Dreams: A Journey in Full Bloom", follows the journey of growth. Through performances like A Nostalgic Medley of Childhood Songs, A Night of Youthful Celebration, and From Rice Fields to Later Days, it blended music and dance to rekindle childhood memories, weaving together stories of coming-of-age and capturing the beautiful evolution from innocence to maturity.

The second chapter, "Timeless Devotion, Worldly Bonds", celebrated life's deepest connections. Moving performances like Teacher, I Really Like You, Our Blooming Journey, Dear Mom and Dad, and Chicago expressed gratitude toward teachers, parents, and classmates, conveying the profound message that "goodbye is not the end".

The third chapter, "Youth in Bloom, Dreams Take Flight", celebrated the promise of the future. Moving performances that blended poetry and song, including Reached for Love, Chased Stars, Grateful Together, and Flowers Bloomed, Home Awaited, honored the struggles and triumphs of youth. Those vibrant melodies lit the way for new journeys, carrying the warmest blessings for every graduate as they embarked on life's next adventure.

The two-hour gala was a vibrant showcase of youthful energy, with performers radiating enthusiasm on stage while the audience responded with thunderous applause and uncontainable excitement. As the cheers echoed through the venue, the Closing Ceremony & 2025 Graduation Gala came to a perfect conclusion.
