The Faculty Development Sub-Center of the School of Mathematics and Statistics Holds the AI Empowerment Series Training—A Thematic Lecture on "AI-Empowered Smart Decision-Making in the Classroom"





On the morning of July 2, 2025, the Faculty Development Sub-Center of the School of Mathematics and Statistics held a thematic lecture as part of the AI Empowerment Series Training. Yao Buwen, Solution Consultant of Education Division, Cardinal Operations, delivered the lecture. Attendees included Zhang Fan, Business Director of Cardinal Operations and faculty from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the Law School, the School of Languages and Communication Studies, the School of Traffic and Transportation, and the School of Automation and Intelligence. Kong Lingchen, Vice Dean of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, moderated the event.

Themed on "AI-Empowered Smart Decision-Making Teaching", Yao highlighted Cardinal Operations' large model platform for smart decision-making teaching and training. The platform combines enterprise-level cases and AI-assisted business understanding and modeling tools to establish an integrated training framework — from theory to practice and industrial applications. The platform focuses on real-world industry challenges, helping educators build structured, hands-on teaching environments that equip students with the skills to turn theory into practical solutions for complex problems.

The attending faculty showed strong interest in the lecture content and engaged in lively discussions with the speaker on topics such as the practical applications of AI in teaching and the real-world value of intelligent decision-making platforms. The school will continue to advance its AI-powered training series to enhance classroom teaching quality and drive digital transformation in education.
