Faculty Recruitment Notice at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Beijing Jiaotong University (Open Year-Round)

Open Positions and Benefits

I. Outstanding 100 Talents Support Program

Tier 1: For internationally recognized leading scholars with significant academic influence who demonstrate world-leading or advanced academic attainment, and are capable of leading major academic initiatives.

Case-by-case negotiation, with globally competitive compensation and comprehensive support.

Tier 2: For leading scholars with substantial academic influence domestically or internationally, capable of serving as academic leaders with strategic vision for discipline development.

Tier 3: For outstanding young scholars at the forefront of their fields, with potential to advance their disciplines to national leadership or international competitiveness.

Basic requirements: Tier 2 candidates should be generally under 50 years old, and Tier 3 candidates should be generally under 40 years old. Age limits may be flexibly adjusted for exceptionally outstanding candidates.
Benefits and working conditions:

1. Annual base salary (university-funded): Tier 2: RMB 750,000+; Tier 3: RMB 650,000+; plus additional performance bonuses, research incentives, and service income, with regular salary increases;

2. On-campus transitional housing for high-level talents;

3. Relocation allowance: RMB 1–1.5 million;

4. Research start-up funds: RMB 1–5 million for natural sciences;

5. Appointment as a doctoral supervisor;

6. Assistance with household registration and enrollment for children in preschool and primary education within applicable policies.

II. Young Talents Development Program

This program recruits and nurtures outstanding young scholars who have demonstrated strong academic achievements and potential in research publications, projects, or technology transfer.

Basic requirements: Category I candidates should generally be under 40 years old, and Category II candidates should generally be under 35 years old. Age limits may be flexibly adjusted for exceptionally outstanding candidates.
Benefits and working conditions:

1. Base salary and benefits, along with additional allowance: RMB 120,000/year for Category I candidates, and RMB 60,000/year for Category II candidates;

2. Eligible for associate professor (high-rank) or higher positions as appropriate;

3. Research start-up funds, relocation allowance, and housing subsidy according to position level based on the Excellent Faculty Recruitment Program;

4. Assistance with household registration and enrollment for children in preschool and primary education within applicable policies.

III. Excellent Faculty Recruitment Program

Basic requirements: Professors should generally be under 45 years old, associate professors under 38, and lecturers under 35. Age limits may be flexibly adjusted for exceptionally outstanding candidates. All applicants must have completed postdoctoral research or possess at least two years of relevant research experience.

IV. Siyuan Postdoctoral Program

The Siyuan Postdoctoral Program targets outstanding young scholars with excellent academic achievements, strong research backgrounds, and high potential for future development, especially PhD graduates from prestigious domestic and international universities.

Basic Requirements: Applicants should have obtained their doctoral degree within the last three years and be under 32 years of age. Age limits may be relaxed for exceptional candidates, but not exceeding 35 years. Candidates must possess the ability to conduct independent research and have made notable contributions in areas such as research publications, scientific projects, or technology transfer.

Benefits:

1. Annual salary (pre-tax):

Starting from RMB 300,000 or RMB 400,000 based on position (no upper limit);

2. Additional support for recipients of national talent programs, combined with university benefits;

3. Research start-up fund: RMB 100,000 per person.

4. High-level collaborative supervisors with strong academic credentials and ample research funding, along with clear training objectives and research tasks;

5. Lecturer title recognition, eligibility to apply for master's supervisor qualification, etc.;

6. Housing subsidy or rental of temporary accommodation (bed) during the employment period, following university policies;

7. Assistance with enrollment for children in preschool within applicable policies;

8. Candidates who pass the employment assessment and meet the university’s faculty recruitment criteria will be preferentially considered for faculty positions.

For the first half-year recruitment, we accept applications from candidates who can start by December 31 of the current year. For the second half-year recruitment, we accept applications from candidates who can start by July 31 of the following year.
